Retirement Plan Administrators

What We Do

With nearly 50 years of experience, we are one of the largest retirement plan administration firms in Connecticut. We provide consulting and administrative services to over 1,100 qualified plans. Our mission is to offer creative planning solutions for employers, matching their desired retirement goals to their available budget.

Our staff of 30 includes 20 experienced Defined Contribution consultants and a separate Defined Benefit Actuarial Team. We are hands-on professionals who know how to ask the right questions, find the right solutions, and explain complex issues in easy to understand terms. Whether the right solution is a 401k, profit sharing, defined benefit, cash balance, or 403(b) plan, we can help you attain your company’s retirement goals.

In addition to producing a detailed annual report for the Plan, we teleconference or meet with management to discuss the plan and the report and address issues concerning the plan and its operations.

How We Do It

We use one of the most widely-respected pension administration and recordkeeping software systems in the country, which is updated frequently for the most recent legislative and tax rule changes. Quality control is achieved by having all work checked by a senior consultant. We communicate with our clients to understand the timeframes in which they require information in order to set mutually acceptable deadlines. This allows us to provide accurate information on a timely basis for each and every client.

We assign your case to a lead consultant who will have the primary responsibility for the administration of your plan. The consultant works closely with a team of peers so there is plenty of support. Your consultant will be available to answer your questions, attend management and employee meetings and provide the necessary daily administration and consulting services. Your consultant will act as your liaison and will work with you on all the details of your plan to provide the required plan support. The principals of the firm, Mike Roach, Bill Anastasiades, and Frank Rossi, have many years of experience in the field of qualified plans. They are always available to answer questions or concerns regarding your retirement plan.

Why We’re Different

The investment professionals we partner with are involved in many aspects of their clients’ businesses. At Pension Consultants, we recognize that we are part of a team that includes the investment professional working together to make sure the retirement plan works as smoothly as possible. Unlike many other retirement plan administrators, Pension Consultants is not a licensed broker or investment advisor.

We do not sell investment or insurance products, and so we do not compete with the financial advisors with whom we service plans. We are an independent firm that can work with any investment provider. We are confident that focusing solely on our core business of retirement plan design and consulting will lead you to the conclusion that Pension Consultants is your choice for long term security and peace of mind.

Our growth into one of the largest Third Party Administrator (TPA) firms in New England reflects our experience and expertise but also speaks to the relationships we have established with all our clients – this is a key differentiator for us in the TPA marketplace. We take pride in how we relate to our customers on a personal level and can provide detailed, technical information without being intimidating or overwhelming. Our clients are our family and like working with us. Take a look at a few of the testimonials posted on the pages of this site – it is great when our customers speak for us!

Teamwork • Compliance • Trust

The 401K is one thing I don't have to worry about because I have you.
